MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

 

Dream Works and the Bladen Disaster Recovery Team have partnered up to provide mental health and substance abuse counseling to those in need. We provide individual counseling as well as group counseling when available.

 

We currently have an ongoing Loss & Recovery Support Group for those who have lost a loved one, have a loved one dealing with addiction, are struggling with addiction themselves, and/or are dealing with any kind of grief. Loss & Recovery meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6pm at Foundation Church. We also provide case management services and resource linkage for those in need of higher-level treatment options, food assistance, home repair/rebuild, and more. Dream Works counseling will also soon offer DWI assessments and Celebrate Recovery meetings.

Our licensed therapist on staff is Meredith DuBose. Meredith is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS). She works with clients dealing with any mental health issue, grief, depression, anxiety, and more in addition to substance abuse. She has worked in the mental health/substance abuse field for 5 years in a variety of settings including in-patient treatment, community services, and state funded programs.
